+ WORKSHOP FORMAT
When we are ready for anything, unexpected challenges can be harnessed to create brilliant scenes. David Allain is a master of versatility. With directing credits including work for ITV, BBC, Channel 4, and Sky, David has collaborated with BAFTA-winning talent and untrained actors to tell powerful stories.
David will workshop scenes then introduce realistic curveballs and 'worst case scenarios’, guiding you to adapt and effectively think on your feet. David will share skills that actors can use within their process immediately. Using texts from his own projects, get a sense for what it is like working on set with David. Practical exercises will include acting from scripts, blocking, identifying a scene’s essence, adapting, and ways of collaborating with a director. Gain skills in this workshop to enhance your screen acting and successfully take on unexpected challenges.
Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!
