WORKSHOP FORMAT

• You will submit a monologue of your choice to Janis personally prior to the event deadline.

• The workshop begins with an introduction.

• Participants will then perform their monologue - no longer than 1 minute in length.

• Janis will give notes allowing time for a second run.

• Followed by a “Q&A”.

BIO

Janis Jaffa CDG has worked across film, television, commercials, and theatre for over twenty years.

As well as casting Series Drama (she was a regular freelance casting director on The Bill for Talkback Thames), her work has also included the hit comedy series, Meet the Magoons, for Channel Four.

Her most recent feature film is the critically acclaimed Skin Walker, while recent shorts are receiving industry praise: The Road Home was short-listed for an Oscar nomination while The Backseat is currently a festival darling. 

In addition to her screen work, Janis also casts corporate films and fringe theatre, as well as taking on research projects. She designs and leads workshops and delivers talks for industry professionals, film-makers and drama students, working at notable schools and colleges including: ALRA, GFCA, Drama Centre, Central Film School, NFTS, Met Film School and London Film School.

She is currently working on a Feature Film (in development) for Europe
