WORKSHOP FORMAT

In this online workshop, Layke will send out a selection of scenes for you to self-tape before the class - you will then choose a scene that identifies with you most regardless of age, gender and ethnicity.

There will then be a live Zoom session where each self-tape will be shown to the whole class and Layke will give his feedback live. There will be time at the end for a Q&A.

BIO

Layke has been directing sessions for Dan Hubbard since 2018, having previously worked as a reader and casting assistant for Ros and John Hubbard, Maureen Duff, Kristina Erdely and Gail Stevens.

Layke is a BIFA nominated and BAFTA-long-listed filmmaker, and is currently working on his first feature film. He also worked on the Kate Winslet period drama ‘Ammonite’ as crowd advisor. 

During a brief stint as an actor (making the transition to directing ten years ago), he worked with directors including Danny Boyle and Richard Attenborough.
