+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Sydney Aldridge under audition conditions (with the whole group present). We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Sydney will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.

Having looked at your Spotlight CV and Showreel, Sydney Aldridge will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Sydney would like you to be as familiar with the text as possible.

Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

SYDNEY'S BIO

Sydney has been working in casting since 2015. Starting her journey as a casting assistant at Beach Casting and later moving on to work with Rose Wicksteed, Anna McAuley, Kate & Lou and most recently, Sasha Robertson.In 2017, Sydney started casting independently working primarily with director, Alex Pearson for The Rose Theatre and Alex Pearson Productions.In the past, Sydney has worked as the in-house casting director for Red Rose Chain; casting productions such as Much Ado About Nothing, Private Lives, Romeo & Juliet and Twelfth Night as well as many more! Sydney has worked on many short film projects and several feature films that are all in the development stage.
