+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

ON YOUR MARKS! - Tips and Techniques for a Trouble-free performance on set.

In this one-day workshop on screen acting, the primary focus will be on-set performance. We’ll explore the detail of a filming day, covering preparation, on-set etiquette, acting for the camera, and other technical demands. We’ll cover both TV Drama and Comedy, and discuss the practical differences and similarities between the two.

With exercises that replicate a filming situation, you’ll experience some of the difficulties and distractions encountered on set and work on techniques to avoid them derailing your performance. We’ll explore pick-ups, lenses, marks, continuity, repetition, variable eyelines, working under pressure - can you deliver when the sun’s going down and there’s only time for one take? The aim is to help equip you technically and mentally for working on set, but in an enjoyable and safe learning environment.
