+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

Having looked at your Spotlight CV and Showreel, Olivia Laydon will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Olivia would like you to be as familiar with the text as possible.

Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Olivia under audition conditions (with the whole group present). We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Olivia will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.

Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

Olivia has worked in casting for over five years across television, film, theatre and commercials. Olivia began her career working at the BBC on daytime soap Doctors, following that she spent a year working in Australia with Peta Einberg. Following her return to the UK she worked with Amy Hubbard as a Casting Associate and Co-Casting Director on large scale television and film projects. Olivia is currently working with Casting Director Jill Green across various projects for theatre and is also spending time as Casting Director on a BFI funded Short Film.
