+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

After looking at your Spotlight CV, Magda will allocate you a partner and tailor sides to specifically suit you, mainly from film or TV projects that she has cast or is currently working on. Magda would like participants to be as familiar with text as possible. The workshop begins with a brief introduction. You will then be given 10 mins to rehearse with your partner. Magda will then bring the group back and will go through each pair, giving notes and allowing time to do your scene a second time. To be followed by a ‘Q&A”.

Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

MAGDA'S BIO

Magda Cassidy is a Casting Associate at Kate & Lou + Ro Casting. She trained as an actor and holds an MA in Music Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and a BA in Drama from The University of Exeter. Over the last few years she has worked with Casting Directors across the UK, Ireland and Australia on a variety of projects. Her recent credits include BAFTA winning series 'The Dumping Ground', 'JoJo & Gran Gran', 'My Mum Tracy Beaker’, 'Mama K's Team 4’, and a new series for AMC written by Peter Ocko. She also works as a Casting Director on independent short films.
