+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

Get the chance to practice your audition skills, in person with Jatinder Chera, previously a casting assistant at the National Theatre, now a freelance casting director. You’ll be looking specifically at contemporary text. Honest feedback and notes will be given prior to a second read. Everyone will participate and observe and there will be a chance for a Q&A at the end.

JATINDER'S BIO

Jatinder Chera took a position at the Royal National Theatre, following his graduation from the Casting Certificate, at the National Film and Television School. Prior to this, he worked as an actor, having trained at Millennium Performing Arts.

Jatinder’s casting credits include: The Nutcracker (Bristol Old Vic, dir. Lee Lyford), and The P Word (Bush Theatre, dir. Anthony Simpson-Pike).

For the NT, Jatinder cast: Up Next Gala 2022 (Lyttelton Theatre, choreography Stephen Mear). As a casting associate, he worked on: The Father and the Assassin (Olivier Theatre, dir. Indhu Rubasingham). As a casting assistant, he worked on: Othello (Lyttelton Theatre, dir. Clint Dyer), Much Ado About Nothing (Lyttelton Theatre, dir. Simon Godwin), Small Island (Olivier Theatre, dir. Rufus Norris), and Trouble in Mind (Dorfman Theatre, dir. Nancy Medina).
