+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

The workshop aims to provide an invaluable and practical set of tools and guidelines that can be immediately implemented.

In this practical full day workshop, Director Sarah Esdaile will work with you on auditions and give you a whole new perspective on the process!

Each participant will have a practice audition, focusing on whatever aspect of the process they like. The thorough feedback is what most participants value.

SARAH'S BIO

Sarah is currently directing THE CHELSEA DETECTIVE (BBC studios / Amazon Prime). Sarah has just finished back to back TV shows including the BBC hit show CALL THE MIDWIFE and has worked with multiple high profile directors including MIKE LEIGH. Her most recent directing credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof for the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Sleeping Beauty for Birmingham Rep and The Lady in the Van (Hull Truck and Number One Tour). She has directed The Deep Blue Sea, the world premiere of Crash by William Nicholson, Death of A Salesman and The Grouch, all for West Yorkshire Playhouse where she has been an Associate Director. Other work includes Cling to Me Like Ivy (Birmingham Rep), co-directing His Dark Materials with Rachel Kavanaugh (Birmingham Repertory Theatre/West Yorkshire Playhouse co-production and tour), Drowning on Dry Land (Salisbury Playhouse), The Horse Marines (Theatre Royal Plymouth), Kafka's Dick (Watford Palace), James and the Giant Peach (Bolton Octagon), Lysistrata and Compact Failure (Arcola Theatre), Pictures of Clay (Royal Exchange), Coyote On A Fence (Royal Exchange and Duchess Theatre, West End) and Nicky Silver's The Maiden's Prayer (Bush Theatre).
