+ WORKSHOP FORMAT
A workshop for actors not just about acting, but the other equally important things to help you to keep going and fire your imagination and fortify your spirit. How do you make contact and collaborate with the directors who would love to work with you but don’t know you exist? This workshop will offer you ways to think outside the box to get on the radar of directors especially those who are up and coming.
When you get an audition, how do you prepare for it and make the most of the material you have been given? When you are in the audition, how to avoid doing things that put off directors in the room or on zoom.
When you get hold of a script, how do you make the most of the subtext in a scene? What is the key to a writer’s writing that will unlock the text for you? How do you find the movements for your character? Do you know how to adjust your performance for the shot size? What is the difference for actors preparing for a film role versus a TV role? We will explore all the above through practical exercises and acting from scripts tailored for each participant. I will direct the actors as I would on a set and participants will have access to the final showcase.
Lastly, how do you keep going as an actor when you can’t catch a break? How to find ways of developing yourself, your craft and your career? There will be time at the end of the workshop for a Q &A where you can ask me anything.
Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!
