+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Chandra Ruegg under audition conditions (with the whole group present). We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Chandra will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.

Chandra Ruegg will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Chandra would like participants to be as familiar with text as possible.

Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

CHANDRA'S BIO

Chandra Ruegg started working in the industry as a child actress, having attended Sylvia Young Theatre School.

After more than twenty years, she was ready to give up her acting hat and move into the world of casting. Her first stint was assisting Amy Ball on Dance Nation (Almeida Theatre) From there she assisted Charlotte Sutton at Chichester Festival Theatre, for two seasons.As a freelancer she has worked in the offices of various Casting Directors including Nanw Rowlands assisting on Censor (BFI/Film 4), Outside The Wire (Netflix) and Voyagers (Lionsgate). She is currently an associate at Sophie Holland Casting. Her credits there include The Peripheral (Kilter Films/Amazon Studios), Tim Burton’s Wednesday (MGM/Netflix), Constellations (Apple TV/Turbine Studios) and The Witcher 3 (Netflix)

For theatre she was a Casting Consultant on An Octoroon (Abbey Theatre Dublin) and the casting director on Lava (Bush Theatre) and Running With Lions (Lyric Hammersmith).
