+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

Having looked at your Spotlight CV and Showreel, Tom Payne will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Tom would like you to be as familiar with the text as possible.

Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Tom under audition conditions (with the whole group present).

We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Tom will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.

Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

{This workshop adheres to CDG guidelines and isn’t an audition}.

TOM'S BIO

Tom’s career began as a young actor until their late teens and then tested the waters as an agent’s assistant, then producer before landing into casting where they joined the team at Daniel Edwards CDG in January 2020. Whilst working for Daniel, Tom worked on multiple brilliant projects including LINE OF DUTY, SHOWTRIAL & THEN YOU RUN and is proud to be part of the Emmy award winning casting team behind HEARTSTOPPER.

Tom's passion for supporting talent from underrepresented groups & communities remain at the forefront of their work - especially those from the LGBTQIA+ community and those from lower socio-economic backgrounds. This is something close to their heart having grown up on a council estate in Bristol and identifying as non-binary
