CAMERA AND THE CLASSICS.
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ALLOCATED WEEKLY TASKS TO COMPLETE, WITH THE AIM TO COMBINE SKILLS IN FILM ACTING AND CLASSICAL TEXT STUDY USING THE WORKS OF CHEKHOV.
2 HOURS EACH SATURDAY MORNING FROM NOV 13TH.
THIS IS AN IDEAL CLASS FOR ACTORS WHO HAVE WORKED WITH JULIA BEFORE OR FOR THOSE NEW TO THE PROCESS THAT WANT TO LEARN ABOUT THE TWO DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES!

Discussion of your chosen text.
Allocate monologues.
WEEK 2: TEXT ANALYSIS.
Analyse the text line by line.
Look at context and subtext.
Look through beats.
WEEK 3: PHYSICAL ACTING.
Block monologue to camera.
WEEK 4: REHEARSAL AND CONTINUITY.
Consistency of emotional journey.
Understand the importance of continuity.
WEEK 5: DRESS AND TECH RUN.
Work through costume and rehearse technical aspects for recorded performance in week 6.
WEEK 6: SHOWCASE.
